Taliouine (sounds like Tally-ween) was the centre for saffron production. The flowers were harvested in October, the local women picked by hand very early in the morning. It was the main source of income for these country folk.

The road from Taliouine to Ouarzazate (sounds like Wazzerzat) took us between the Anti Atlas and and the Atlas Mountains.

Our time in Morocco was coming to an end; we had to be in Tanger Med at the end of January, giving us about a week to relax before it was time to start heading north.
