Over the years we had got to know a small group of Europeans who had homes in Sidi Ifni. Eberhart and Maria were a German couple who spent the winter months in the town. One of their contacts was Yousef, a local factotum who, among other things, managed holiday lettings for Seahouse, a 12 bed luxury holiday villa overlooking the ocean in Sidi Ifni.
During our stay we discovered that we had a crack in our tail lift frame and we needed to find a skilled welder to undertake the repair.

We had no idea where to source a competent welder so, as Eberhart was good on technical stuff, we asked him for advice. He gave the problem to Yousef who found a welder and they both brought him down to the truck to carry out the repair – Eberhart and Yousef supervising the work from beginning to end. The whole process took two hours.
The welder proved to be skilled and did a good job. Without local knowledge we would have struggled to find someone capable of doing the repair so we were extremely grateful to Eberhart and Yousef.

We had become fond of our fellow campers during our stay in Sidi Ifni. We had all bonded over the Christmas period and we felt sad when it was time for us to say goodbye move on.
